Itinerary description
This is a pretty easy / simple hike through really nice woods out to a pretty good sized pond. Once at the pond, there are 6 tent sites, with platforms and fire pits, and a 3 sided shelter that is quite nice. I can imagine camping our there - out of season to avoid any "crowds" and waking up to the possibility of seeing moose in the pond in the early morning (almost went back the next day just to do this but got tied up with other things).
Highly recommended as an easy hike with nice reward at end. There are other trails where you can make it a longer hike or a "traverse" to another area if you spot a car - lots of options.
Note that Livermore Rd (aka Sawyer River Rd) is closed in the winter months (Nov to May), check http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/white_mountain/conditions/roads_status.php for road status.
