We did almost this trip with a baby stroller (for hiking). We didn't make it to the gorge because of stairs and narrow path in that part of the trip, but easy to find your way and also possible to choose gravel road all the way if you bring a map/google maps (and don't need to see the gorge). The scenery is absolutely stunning all the way! And would love to do it again when the olives are on the trees.

My husband and I did this trail may 4th 2017, we walked all the way up to Zourva after the funny little gorge, Gps showed this roundtrip was almost 10 km with hight difference ap. 350m. Taxi from Chania 30 euro, starting point at a sign to the left in the first "hairpin" after the big church in Meskla.
Nice taverna there too. Bus back at 14.30. Lovely walk!

Belle balade à l'ombre, nous avons choisi de revenir par le même chemin pour ne pas marcher sur la route...

Just walked the gorge. Officially it is closed due to the spring storms. It is possible to complete but now involves some scrabbling. The hardest bit is finding the path out of the gorge. You need to keep on the right and climb out of the bed as soon as you can ( approx 50 yards before the 90 degree bend is shown on the app). We climbed up to the village which takes you to 550m. There is a good taverna there but little else. I would probably stick to the route on here and save the extra climb.
