Itinerary description
A short walk in the area. Starting at the tavern in Sapounakaiika - Σαπουνακαιικα.
Enough space for parking.
How to get to Sapounakaiika / Σαπουνακαιικα ? Drive from the Shell station on the main road of Tyros directly up towards the mountains . At the end of this road going uphill, continue left and drive all the way up to the tavern called Konatsi. Park your car there (see picture), or behind the tavern where more parking is available. Toilets of the tavern are outside.
Always wear good shoes (sneakers are ok for this walk), bring enough water, phone(s), an orange or red jacket / hat and additional powerbank to charge phones. For extra safety bring a wissle. Be aware of hunting season (Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, or any other day). Just end your walk in the mountains before sundown.
Before or after you can visit the local Tavern, it's all local and delicious Greek food.
