Itinerary description
The drive up to the starting point is very scenic in itself but takes you across rugged farm and mountain roads which some may not feel comfortable with. Nevertheless, a lower middle class car like a Golf, Astra or Auris does the job just fine. Once you’ve arrived at the starting point, you start with an easy walk downhill before eventually turning right where you commence a hike through the thicket. Wild boars have marked the way and spring gras is flattened where they roam. The hike back uphill through nature is steep and we’d discourage those whose joints ache from previous hike or other ailments. Once you’ve reached the radio tower at the top your return to the starting point is relaxed and easy. The views you will experience of the sea, the Valley of Tyros and the mountain walls behind it will reward you throughout, as long as you take this hike either early in the morning or late afternoon when the sunlight comes in nice and flat, and the colors bring out their best. May seems perfect with tons of flowers and beautiful olive groves awaiting you.
