Itinerary description
This is a lovely walk on a quieter sector of Thetford Forest.
The route beggins at the Forestry Commission in Santon Downham. There are free parking spaces available. The trail crosses the river and heads right, following the river bank up to St Helen's Picnic Site. This is a popular spot to have a "dip" in the clean waters of the Little Ouse River.
Crossing the bridge, the path continues towards the woods. You can complete a nice circular walk or take a shortcut using one of the several firebreaks, that lead back to Santon Downham.
