Itinerary description

Alongside the creek Arrone ....which starts at Lago Bracciano and ends in the sea near Fregene. Galeria Antica was founded by the Etruscan people, was inhabitated for a few centuries and then abandoned. The Orsini - Family took over (as in many other cases), but subsequent owners seemingly didn't invest enough to keep it alive. Malaria and then a sudden exodus in 1807, reason still a mistery, let to the complete demise of the place. This trip leads in part through private property and is, therefore, not open to the public year round.

At Santa Maria in Celsano (Parking) there is also a nice restaurant, nicely set under a massive roof of ivy.
