Itinerary description
Leaving our camp at the Alpamayo Mirador (where we saw a beautiful sunrise on Artesonraju!) walking to Cashapampa. We managed to jump on a collectivo that was waiting at 13:45!
The valley is vast and reminded us of a desert landscape! This continues for 5km before reaching Laguna Jatuncocha, which the trail follows to the left, then passing Llamacorral campground and several other wild camps before descending steeply towards Cashapampa following the river, raging waterfalls and beautiful settings the entire journey!
A tough, long day in the sunshine but the views made it worthwhile!
