Itinerary description
This is by far one of the most spectacular hikes on the island of Mallorca. The trek is circular and can be done both ways depending on the time of the day and preference. Balkan Vagabondz recommends timing your trip in a way that allows you to watch the sunset from La Trapa.
You will notice the number of different trails that exist hence it is easy to get confused.
There is only one semi-adventurous section that involves some light scrambling, make sure you have proper hiking shoes.
Great views towards Sa Dragonera island and one also gets to visit La Trapa, an old French Trappist monk colony that was created in 1810 and lasted for 14 years. The religious group used to work and live in silence.
Currently, La Trapa is owned by GOB (The Balearic Group of Ornithology and Nature Defense) and made into a biological reserve with the help of volunteers.
Happy hike and don't forget your headtorch!

Zeer mooie route met prachtige uitzichten. Wel eerder moeilijk dan gemiddelde, vooral naar het einde toe van de klim!
