Eine einfache Wanderung in Salzkotten über flaches Terrain durch Stadt, Natur und Feld.
Vorsicht: Etwa bei Kilometer 4,2 führt die Route kurz an der Landstraße entlang, einen Fußweg gibt es dort nicht.
Aufgrund einer Treppe, dem Streckenstück an der Landstraße und zum Teil matschigem Untergrund ist die Route nicht für Rollstühle und wenig für Kinderwagen geeignet.
Unterwegs treffen wir immer wieder auf die als "Alltagsmenschen" bekannten Skulpturen von Christel und Laura Lechner.

Auf dem Marktplatz in Salzkotten kann meistens problemlos geparkt werden, außer am Markttag (Freitag 11.00 - 18.00 Uhr) und bei Stadtfesten.
Wer mit dem Zug anreist, kann den Rundgang auch am Bahnhof beginnen, von dort bis zur Ölmühle sind es etwa 400 m / 5 Min.
Die Tour kann man in etlichen Lokalen rund um den Markt kulinarisch ausklingen lassen.

An easy walk in Salzkotten through a flat terrain that includes town, nature and fields.
Caution: At around kilometer 4,2, you will walk along a country road without pedestrian way for a while.
Due to stairs at one point, the part along the country road and muddy ground at some sections, this route isn’t suitable for wheelchairs and not ideal for prams.
Along the way, we’ll come across several sculptures of the series “Alltagsmenschen” (=people from everyday life) by the artists Christel and Laura Lechner.

There is usually ample space for parking at the market square, except for market days (Fridays 11.00 - 18.00) or during fairs.
If you come by train, you can also start this round tour at the train station which is about 400 m / 5 min away from the “Ölmühle”-waypoint.
At the end of your walk, you’ll find options for food and drinks at several eating places around the market square.
