I went hiking with Irina, Yashwant and Reehan. It was a nice cloudy and windy day, quite convenient for hiking in this arid mountain. The start/end of the trek consisted of a very steep mound of very loose rock, and it immediately continued into a narrow ridge, knife sharp, and very steep. Later on there weresome steep ascends and some gorgeous views. When we already approched the Qahf Tahr to maybe more than a kilomater, the wind grew stronger and a few drops of rain fell. Reehan and I decided not to go further. Irina and Yashwant reached the cave. It was getting cold and dark, so we returned without seeing the inside of the cave.
NB Our start is not the best one. On my next trip to the cave, with Rashid & co., we parked our cars somewhat further up the hill, and from there descended comfortably on this same track. The only problem is, when you retur tired from the cave, you'll have to climb a steep and loose slope for maybe a few hundred metres in order to reach your car...
