Itinerary description
This is a very easy and gratifying walk, with beautiful views over rolling sunflower hills.
This walk must be especially beautiful earlier in summer when the flowering sunflowers are at their peak. But even in August there is still a tinge of yellow to be seen across the fields.
There are quite a few pickick tables next to the surf shop at the lake in En Gaillard and the second part of the walk leads you through Belflou with its castle and interesting church.

Prachtige route. Mooie panorama’s, door dorpjes en langs meren en een heus kasteel.

A very nice walk through the countryside to the lake. There is a small bar/cafe beside the lake but on a Thursday in September it was closed 12:00 - 14:00, only in France do the cafés close for lunch. The walk back gives good views of the lake then easy walk to the village. St Michel is a very pretty village to wander in and we found a restaurant open for post walk drinks.
