Itinerary description

Park in the car park just after the Mairie and in front of the school and take the path that leads out of the back of the car park in the back right hand corner.

Before starting your hike, admire the "lavoir" and the stone well by the roadside and then pass between the tower dovecote and the restored bell tower and the church with its small walled bell tower. Enjoy the beautiful stone houses then take the road out of the car park until you reach the main road, turn right and then take the small grassy track on your right that goes down between two new houses. Be aware there are large dogs in both houses that bark aggressively, they are behind wire fences and can't get out but could upset dogs that are walking with you. Continue down this path, up to a pump then turn left along the trees to go up to "Ratie".

During the climb, behind you, there is a beautiful view of Saint Cirq. Turn left and at the crossroads take the direction of Negrepelisse. After 80m, take the steep and downhill road on the left, after several bends, a dirt track in the woods on the left.

After 500m, turn right onto the asphalt road, left onto the dirt road and then straight ahead onto the road until the crossroads "Campalot". Discover on a low wall a small wrought iron wayside cross hidden under the leaves and in the distance, two dovecotes. Turn right towards "Campalot". On your right, on the horizon, the circular tower of "Conte!" and in the field, an old well and its piston pump. At the ruins of "Campalot" a stone wayside cross awaits you.

Continue your way between the fences and then a grassy path in the lane to reach a small road. After a few meters, on the right, take a dirt path behind the hamlet of Cabanel. After 900m, take the path on the left between woods and fields: it will take you to Guillau (direction Saint Cirq) where you will admire dovecote towers and stone houses of Quercy. In front of the intersection of Cabanel, take a track on the right bordering trees and downhill.

Admire on the right the countryside (valley, lake) and, after 600m, turn left to take a path winding through the woods. (Private path please respect the property).

Follow the two electric lines (stone hutch), then the path that forks to the left to reach a more marked path. Turn right (another stone hutch) and continue in the woods for 900m, until you reach Clavel, where you can admire the dovecote with the mule's foot, the dovecote tower with bell tower, houses of character, a metal wayside cross and a king tree (ash)

Go back in the woods and take the path on the right that will take you back to Saint Cirq. At the square of the wayside cross, turn left and at the crossroads turn right to return to the car park after 250m.
