Itinerary description

This is a great walk to the top of Saddle Mountain - best done on a day without clouds. When having a clear day you have a marvelous view across the country and you can even see the Pacific. Most of the time you are walking under trees, the last part is very steep - wear sturdy shoes. Can be difficult, but with good weather, good stamina and good shoes a moderate walk.

Beautiful trail on a clear day. I was able to see Mt Rainier, Mt Adams, Mt St Helens, Mt Hood and all the way to My Jefferson. The view of the ocean was fabulous. I could see Astoria and the Columbia River too. Highly recommended!
