Itinerary description

Ascent to the Fairfield and Helvellyn peaks from Rydal, to go down to Wythburn and take the bus to Grasmere, and complete the return from Lake Grasmere to Rydal, where we park the car.
The typical route is from Ambleside to Fairfield, but we decided to extend it to Helvellyn Peak. The passage between both summits is very steep and requires good boots.
👁️👁️ EYE! 👁️👁️
- There is hardly anywhere to leave the car in Rydal, we were very lucky to find the last one left, and the car parks are very expensive, at 10p a day.
- People go up to Fairfield or Helvellyn, but we didn't find anyone who could do both, so the return route was very long and very heavy, that's why we took the bus (which ran every 30 min during the weekend in summer.
