Walk through the Romanesque area of the Vall de Boí. We will connect four of the most beautiful Romanesque churches (Barruera - Durro - Boí and Erill la Vall) following traditional paths.

We leave the recreation area next to the river in the village of Barruera, right next to the Boneta campsite. When we reach the lever that crosses the river, Noguera de Tor, we cross it and follow for a while a path to the left. We take the road that goes up to the village of Durro a hundred meters and, shortly before a bend, we leave it by a path (photo 1) that will take us through the forest to the village of Durro. In this small village we find the first of the churches, The Nativity of Durro (photo 2).

We will leave Durro through the 'El Caranto' area to take the 'Camí del Pago'. This beautiful path follows the valley in the form of a balcony towards Boí. We can have views of the Comaloformo and Punta Alta (on both sides of the valley). Shortly before entering Boí we will find the path that comes from Barruera through the lower area and we will enter Boí through the Fornet bridge. Here we will find the second of the churches, Sant Joan de Boí (photo 3).

At the bottom of the car park next to this church we take the old path of Erill la Vall which goes down the Setzons area towards the river. We cross the same by a lever (photo 4) right next to the Vall de Boí water treatment plant to go up to the road at the bottom of the valley to cross it and go up to the village by some stairs to the left of the one that goes up to the village.

Shortly after entering the village we find the third of the churches, Santa Eulàlia (photo 5). We go up to the top of the village to take the old path of Barruera. It takes us downhill to cross the road again, below it by a drain, and by paths along the river, Plano d'Erill, in the direction of Barruera.

Upon entering this village we see the last of the churches, Sant Feliu (photo 6). We just need to follow a little further to get to where we left the vehicle.

Itinerary 2 of the brochure 'Walk through the Alta Ribagorça' published by the County Council or walks 4, 7 and 6 plus walk 6 of the brochure 'Vall de Boí, the traditional paths of the valley' published by the Board of the Vall de Boí
