Itinerary description
Ruta del Condor (Trek of the Condor) as described in the Bradt Ecuador Climbing and Hiking Guide. Hiked 12/2016 without a guide. The trail is faint/non-existent at many points. Bringing a GPS is STRONGLY recommended. Based upon our experience as well as what we read and heard, it seems that few, if any, people, manage to complete the route without a GPS or guide. Expect notable mud. Make sure to protect your food or it will be eaten by the local wildlife at night. The rules about hiking to Tambopaxi in Cotopaxi National Park without a guide are unclear. Some report having no problems. We were initially prohibited by the park ranger from proceeding before he inexplicably changed his mind. Check that Cotopaxi is not closed due to volcanic activity before planning to enter the park.

Como están, quiero hacer la ruta con unos amigos, pero queremos ir sin una guía ni pagar por los tours, podrían ayudarnos a saber si tiene algún precio hacer esta ruta y si hay senderos?
Hay senderos pero no en todas partes! Nosotros bajamos la ruta desde la aplicación del suunto y eso nos ayudó a dirigirnos porque sino es fácil perderse! Si quieres más información me puedes contactar por teléfono 0999825430

Beautiful trek, boots and Gps mandatory, some parts of the trail are not clear and well marked.
Also when you come from the north of the trek before going up to laguna taracocha you will cross a farm be really careful with bulls and dogs!! We did a detour to avoid them.
Otherwise the rest is great ! Enjoy!
