Itinerary description
NOTE: Forgot to activate route out of El Berro. Route picks up about 1km out. Easy to fill the missing distance by following signposted route out of the village.
Route crossed a number of terraces and then follows the watercourse gently down and alongside the ridge to just above Gebas. On this occasion we did not continue down to the road and enter Gebas but turned right, back up the ridge to a path leading through a pine forest.
NOTE: This route can be easily split into two. Going to El Mirador Restaurant for lunch, 1.5 - 2 hours downwards, check seasonal opening times, and taking the return leg back to El Berro, 2 hours.
On the return leg you reach an elevation above El Berro and drop off the forest track to the right. Down a narrow track you reach a marked route where you can either go down right, to join the original route back to El Berro, or as we did go back up to the left past the old electricity tower to meet the road a half km above El Berro and trek down from there to the end of the walk.
