Ruta 18-A: Sant Ferran - Es Pujols

Esta senda transcurre principalmente por la venta tradicional de sa Punta, un extremo saliente situado entre el final de la larga playa de Llevant y la costa de Tramuntana. Se trata de una ruta con dos variantes, la primera conecta las poblaciones de Sant Ferran de ses Roques y Es Pujols coincidiendo con el tramo final de la ruta 20, mientras que la segunda opción (Ruta 18-B) es la única que nos acerca a la torre de vigilancia de Punta Prima.
Partiremos de la población de Sant Ferran en la que podemos visitar la plaza principal con su iglesia. Saldremos en dirección Es Pujols a través de un sosegado camino interior entre muros de piedra que limitan parcelas y campos. Si tomamos la variante hacia el núcleo costero de Es Pujols, podremos disfrutar de su fantástica playa y del paseo marítimo con numerosos restaurantes y, por la tarde-noche, pequeños tenderetes.
Para retomar el camino hacia la torre, debemos volver sobre nuestros pasos hasta llegar al desvío. La torre defensiva de Punta Prima es una fortificación construida entre 1762 y 1763 que domina visualmente toda la parte norte de la isla. Para concluir este paseo sugerimos andar hasta el extremo de Punta Prima: bajo nuestros pies encontraremos un insólito terreno rocoso, con formas y perfiles curiosos que invitan jugar a adivinar figuras. Desde los imponentes acantilados de Punta Prima nos conmoverán unas vistas excepcionales: al oeste Eivissa, S'Espalmador y el islote de Espardell y al este el altiplano de La Mola y toda la costa de Tramuntana.

The path runs mainly through the traditional area of Punta Prima, a protrusion between the end of the long Llevant beach and the Tramuntana coast. There are two roads. The first connects the towns of Sant Ferran de ses Roques and Es Pujols, which coincide with the final stretch of route 20, while the second option is the only one that leads to the Punta Prima watchtower (Route 18-B).
Start in Sant Ferran with a visit to the main square and the church. Set off in the direction of Es Pujols along a quiet inland road that winds between stone walls that mark out the plots and fields. If you take the road towards the coastal village of Es Pujols you'll be able to enjoy its magnificent beach and its seafront promenade with numerous restaurants and, in the evening and at night, little stalls.
To resume your trip to the tower, retrace your steps to the road diversion. The Punta Prima watchtower is a fortress built between 1762 and 1763 that dominates the northern part of the island. End your excursion by walking to the end of Punta Prima over the strange, rocky ground with odd shapes and curious contours that will bring all manner of figures to mind. There are some marvellous views to be enjoyed from Punta Prima's imposing cliffs; to the west, Ibiza, Espalmador and the islet of Espardell and to the east, the La Mola plateau and the Tramuntana Coast.
