The first day, from the Russian Lake campsite near the road, you climb up the valley to the second lake (upper lake). There is a free camping area near the lake and a cabin (free shelter). The second day you cross a small port until you find the intersection with the Ressurection Trail (southern part).
There is no water problem, along the path the river is crossed several times, in August there is a lot of vegetation along the way, sometimes it is almost closed by it. The vegetation is rich in wild red fruit, probably much appreciated by bears seen the incredible amount of excrement on the trail.
