Itinerary description
The final leg of the trail took us from Castle Lake to the Parking Lot in Lamoile Canyon. This is the busiest part of the trail, especially from Liberty Pass to the parking lot. Lamoile Canyon is a well known and beautiful place to visit and there are always visitors to the area. After the last two days of hiking more than 12 miles this leg was easy at around 6. Liberty Pass is the highest elevation on the trail and there are great views of Ruby Dome, Liberty Lake, and Lamoile Canyon from this leg of the trail. The Ruby's were awesome and I will make it back to visit again.
