Itinerary description
The trek starts from the old mine on the north side to Siljak peak (1565m), while we descend on the south side to the village of Rtanj (580m).
The length of the tour is about 14 km, the height difference is about 1200 m on the way up and 1000 m on the way down.
Estimated walking time is about 6 hours.
There are no technically demanding parts, but a good physical preparation is required - it is not recommended for beginners.
Rtanj is one of the most beautiful, but demanding climbs in our region.
From its top, in clear weather, we can see Beljanica, Borski stol, the highest peak in Serbia within central Serbia - Midzor on Stara planina, Suva planina, Devica, Ozren, Kopaonik, etc.
