Itinerary description
Start at the parking lot of Slot Rosendael, Beekhuizenseweg 4, Rozendaal. Walk with the castle on your left hand side in the direction of the Orangerie into the forest. Follow yellow-red indications. Varied forest with old deciduous trees. Continue on the border of the forest and the heathland Rosendaalse Heide. Take a sharp right crossing the heathland and walk in the direction of the Posbank. When you're on a small hill with a wooden bench you can choose to either continue the trail or take a left for about 600 m to the Posbank paviljon for food and drinks and a viewpoint. The trail continues to the Zijpenberg, offering beautiful views along the way, follow the yellow-red indications. Then continue crossing mixed heather/low forest fields and then take a right back into the forest in the direction of Emma piramide. We continue with the Emma piramide on our right hand side, through the forest, passing a cemetry and the Rozendaal castle is right in front of us.
