Itinerary description

It is a circular route that begins and ends at the center of Rovaniemi. We will begin and cross the Kamijoki River through the Lumberjack's Candle Bridge (the candle of the woodcutter) that takes us to the most oriental neighborhoods of the city. We head north to the left bank of the river. We pass through a residential area with small houses located near the river. We reach the next bridge and pass to the other side. From here we will head west following the right bank of the Kemijoki River until you find the main E75 road. Here we will find the third bridge that will allow us to cross the river Ounasjoki. This bridge is based on Koivusaari Island which is located just in the middle of the river and makes it split into two branches. We cross and pass to the other side by placing us near the Artikum museum. From here we turn to the center. It is a very simple route that allows you to enjoy the landscape that make up the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki rivers at the confluence point. Riverbank vegetation, small beaches, islands and beautiful views from the bridges are some things we will overcome. The route is configured by perfectly tarmaced paths, where pedestrians, skaters and cyclists circulate uniquely. It is impressive the great number of kilometers of route that exists in this area with these characteristics and that allow to enjoy the natural surroundings in a calm way.
