Itinerary description
This route to Brtvisi Fortress starts up on top of the hill above Tbisi, not at the start. For directions from car park up to the starting point of this captured trail (~2km uphill on easy trail from carpark to this starting point), refer to other records of Brtvisi hike.
Nice hike. Sections easy, other with some moderate difficulty ascending through narrow canyons and some steep rock as you get up close and in to the fortress area - not technical but not for faint hearted.
Caution: Some of this hike goes through small creek beds in narrow canyons; These sections could be subject to heavy water flow during big rain storms and may make sections unsafe to pass during those periods.
