Itinerary description
The trail follows the wide forest path that goes towards Nikiforovo.
At one point it turns sharply down through a dense unmarked forest until it reaches the main road around Mavrovo lake.

Nice trail, a bit difficult to find a good way down trough the dense forest.
Agree, we had to go back since the path seems to continue towards Nikiforovo. So we cut through the forest.

First part of route was a relaxed walk in a beautiful forest, lots of flowers, little water streams, along a dirt track. The second part was a steep climb without a path through the forest- that was less relaxing and much less easy to walk ;)
