Itinerary description
A ring trail on the top of the three hills called Rossomanno. The hills are in the Rossomanno Natural Reserve, site of the Rocca di Cerere UNESCO Global Geopark. The area, charaterized by a large forest with pines, eucaliptus, chestnuts and oaks, since prehistoric times was inabithed by indigenous people of Sicily. The trial meets some monumental ruins: The Serra Casazze acropolis, the little Basilica, the Uberti tower and the ancient convent. The landscape is very large on all the central Sicily.

We couldn't follow this circular trail because a fence blocked one end and also the trail didn't match the paths. BUT there is good parking space at the beginning and lots of unfenced dirt tracks to walk along. Good views of Mount Etna too. I recommend this area for walking.
