Itinerary description
Roque Imoque ligt in het natuurgebied Barranco Del Infierno en behoort tot het massief van Adeje en is een van de drie oudste bergketens van Tenerife. Op de klim naar boven de top kunnen we genieten van een aantal indrukwekkende uitzichtpunten over Adeje. We starten deze tocht in het dorpje Vento waar je vandaar ook naar de Roque del Conde kunt stappen. Wij kiezen deze keer daarentegen om een stukje van de GR 131 naar de Roque Imoque te nemen. Op onze tocht steken we drie maal de indrukwekkende Barranco del Rey over. Doe deze wandeling enkel bij helder weer want de wolken kunnen op deze hoogte nogal eens blijven hangen!
ENG: Located in the Barranco Del Infierno nature reserve, Roque Imoque belongs to the Adeje massif and is one of Tenerife's three oldest mountain ranges. On the climb to the top, we can enjoy some impressive viewpoints over Adeje. We start this trek in the village of Vento from where you can also hike to the Roque del Conde. Instead, we choose this time to take a section of GR 131 to the Roque Imoque. On our hike, we cross the impressive Barranco del Rey three times. Do this hike only in clear weather as clouds can linger quite a bit at this altitude!
