I would be hesitant to attempt this trail in the Summer months unless you leave before first light ( 4am ? ) and are finished by 10am. The day we tackled it in September there was a Berg wind ( 38 degresss by afternoon ) and we left in the dark. We walked quickly and did it within 5 1/2 hours but we pushed it knowing how hot it would get.
