Itinerary description
Easy parking opposite the entrance to Rosendael castle, which in itself is also worth a visit, including the park surrounding it.
On this hike we first headed towards the Emma pyramid via some tracks in the woods. After winding round the bottom of the tower, the staircase to the top follows where you'll find yourself at a height of 110 m with a 360 degrees panorama and a display of the towns and sights in the surrounding area.
After the descent it's a beautiful track towards the wide open plains of Rozendaalse zand, a magnificent area to hike through. Especially for dog owners this is a highlight as they can have their dogs running free in the open area.
(There are regular signs indicating where dogs must be kept on a leash and where they can break free.)
After the Kluizenaarsweg carpark the track circles back through the woods to the edge of Rozendaal, while passing the castle, its park and Oranje-rie on your right hand side.
All in all, a most rewarding hike.
