Itinerary description
A circular walk around Giethoorn and Dwarsgracht in the north western part of the province of Overijssel. Dwarsgracht, located halfway, is in fact a mini version of Giethoorn, just as idyllic.
This walk was done at an extremely quiet moment in time (for this tourist highlight), so we could really enjoy the two villages and the surrounding area without the influx of tourists or daytrippers.
Most of the walk is through rural (moorland) areas though, where you'll find peace and quiet along the waters at any time we suppose.
Nearly all of the track is on surfaced roads or paved cycle tracks.
On the way there are a few catering options, apart from the many cafes and restaurants in Giethoorn itself.
