Itinerary description
Nice walk through a variety of landscapes, along waters and crossing the estates of Beverweert and Rijnwijck and alongside Broekbergen. As this trail circles around (and partly through) the town of Driebergen Rijsenburg and crosses a motorway twice, you will have to put up with traffic and traffic noise on a number of stretches.
In other words, this is not a trail for my top 10 hikes ;)
This loop does have a number of highlights though, such as the lovely "heidetuin Driebergen" and the part across the Beverweert estate, as well as along the waters of Kromme Rijn.

After crossing the bridge you turn right here onto Kromme Rijnpad, part of a long distance hiking path across the province of Utrecht.

De Reehorst
Recent new developments here, an example of project development and new building construction (for Triodos bank) in which the landscape and nature development has taken priority. All this next to the original estate of De Reehorst with its white villa.
