Itinerary description
Even on a hot summer day (33 degrees C) this trail is recommended. It's an oasis of peace where you won't meet a single soul once you are underway.
We followed the blue trail which is well signposted. The initial idea was to follow it up with the red trail but we felt it was a little too much on such a hot day. We'll return to this area for sure after all.
Around 90 % of the trail is in the shade, either crossing extensive forests, rhododendron bushes or under the trees that line the footpaths through more open areas.
The pictures that go with this walk give you a good idea of what to expect.
On and off you'll come across benches to take a rest if you like. Following this track in the rhododendron season may add that extra touch of blossoms to enjoy.
You can find this area east of Gemert and Bakel, near the small village of de Rips.
