Itinerary description
Highly recommendable ! This is a premium trail, designed by a German organisation.
Besides, it is well signposted by the letter M, all the way, in other words you can't get lost.
The trail includes nearly all the highlights around the small town of Arcen, in the province of Limburg. Varied landscapes , passing wonderful estates, some lovely valleys, along the Maas river, woodland, forests, moorland etc. The track passes the Arcen castle gardens and its huge (paid) car park area .
(Visiting these extensive gardens is something for another day though as there is plenty to enjoy along this trail.)
One can start from the village of Arcen itself (or anywhere along the trail) and return to it for a drink or some snacks at one of the many terraces in the centre.
All in all, a fantastic trail in a magnificent area !
