Itinerary description
Circular walk just north of Turnhout. On the walk you'll see woods, meadows, fields and wetlands / vennen. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is the right area.
A short detour track between Knooppunt 92 and 50 was closed unfortunately.
Nearly half way there is a farmstead (Klein Engelandhoeve) where you can have a drink or snack on the terrace (closed on Mondays) and park your car .
This farmstead could also be your starting point for hiking in the Wetlands. It stretches to Zwarte Water, Grote and Kleine Klotteraard and Zandhoven.
Not long after that you'll pass a 12 meter tall viewing tower allowing you to enjoy all of the natural splendour of the surroundings, much of this is water and wetlands.
NB The track follows the N 119 road for a short while. If you want to avoid this, you'd better take a more northernly trail, after Knooppunt 93.
