Itinerary description

Circular route starting at Finca La Cazalla in the Camino del Tajo del Abanico, heading up the pretty track towards Barrio San Francisco and then out into the campo again, following a track to the Pilar de Cartajima. Pretty countryside, a nice route. From there we crossed the Ronda Algeciras road and entered the Coto Alto estate. A fairly uninteresting section until we re-entered the spectacular Tajo del Abanico to complete our walk. NB. Coto Alto is well known for not wanting anyone to use the public access caminos that cross their finca. Make sure you have a photo of the Ajuntamiento access sign handy on your phone and the local police telephone number, should you encounter any unfriendly locals!

Winding our way up and down through Coto Alto, keep any dogs on leads. Weird reservoir!

This was the wrong way! Go back 50m and open the wire gate to go down the slope to the double animal control gate at the bottom of the tricky slope. The owners really don't want to make it easy!!

A great circular route, sadly spoiled by meeting the miserable owner (?) of Coto Alto. We totally understand and respect the rules of crossing private land, if everyone has a positive attitude these difficult situations will not arise.

Esta ruta es muy chula. Es mejor y muy deseable hacerla acompañado ya que es muy solitaria y ante cualquier eventualidad es mejor no estar solo/a. Cuidar nuestro entorno!!!
