Itinerary description
Starting out on the Camino los Campillos, descend to the valley floor of Tajo de Hoya. You pass by a number of molinos and a hydro-electric power station joining the GR249. Initially the Camino is concrete or tarmac but after 4 km and a left turn, the track turns to path. After a few more km's of track & then road, cross over the train track, turn left and follow the track in the direction of Cueva del Gato. This section is somewhat boring but, after a few more km, a path appears and starts to climb steadily up and over a pass. Views of Montejaque and Benaoján appear and a concrete road descends to Benaoján.
An alternative route would be to continue straight on after crossing the railroad and head for Montejaque but, I'm not sure what the route is like down to Benaoján. I'll try this next time to avoid the boring section parallel to the rail tracks.
