The Robberg Peninsula is a nature park. Admission is not high with R40 for an adult (as of 2016). As a counter value you get guarded parking, sanitary facilities, as well as well laid out, signposted trails. And of course unique views of a very special environment.
From the parking lot we walked clockwise around the peninsula, ie on the way out look to the sprawling Plettenberg Bay. The path leads along a relatively high altitude over the steeply sloping shore, but is well secured by stairs and railings. Our way was the medium length of three possible routes. At the approximately 80 meters high sand dune we went down to the beach and - which is only possible in not too stormy weather conditions - on the small island (The island), a breeding place for seagulls, run. On the following way back and forth, there is probably always a strong wind, which gives the trail its charm but is not completely harmless. It goes up and down, full of views of a wonderful coast. It was fun!
