Itinerary description
Nice, scenic falls with a fairly easy hike. Trail head parking is extremely limited, and pretty much on the side of the road. You can get about 4 cars parked perpendicular to the road, the rest will have to park on the road shoulder. Good news is that the road is hardly used as it dead-ends into an old USFS work center. At one point while driving down Busick Work Center Road the vegetation closed in so much, I thought we were on the wrong road.
No restrooms at trail head. Beginning of trail was wide, crushed limestone road bed, with slight uphill grade. Trail eventually forked and was no longer crushed limestone. Trail was heavily used and mostly exposed roots (see photos). While not ideal hiking, it was still easy to navigate. At base of falls what appeared to be a social trail continued up around a big rock outcropping and headed up the falls. Too sketchy for us.
Tons of shade.
