Itinerary description
Apart from the height difference the walk is easy.
You walk up to the church of Karidi on a quiet asphalt road. The Minoan path from Mithi also ends at the church. There is also a water tap close to the church. On your walk up you have stunning views east (to Ierapetra area) and south to the Libyan sea. Shortly after the church the road continues as dirt road and is still going up for some more kilometres. You walk through an area grazed by sheep and goats. On your way going down to Riza you pass a gate. Below the gate the vegetation is more green because it is not being grazed there.
You enter the village at the 'backside'. Next to the parking is a nice kafenion where you can have a drink after your walk.
