Itinerary description
This track leads to the river Phonias. The river has washed out the stone, so there are plenty of little pools to take a refreshing bath... At the river there is of course also the opportunity to fill up your water reserves. The path itself is not difficult. Occasionally you need your hands when crossing some rocks etc. Hiking sticks are helpful due to slippery gravel. The roundtrip took me about 2 hours (not considering any breaks).
The most difficult part is to reach the starting point. The road is not suitable for small city cars and you should not be afraid to drive small mountain roads. However, walking up there is no real option due to a rather boring and long ascend.
If you are hungry after the tour, I highly recommend the taverna Karyidies in Ano Meria close by!
