Itinerary description
This a a nice Sunday trail, easy enough to be completed by everyone, even without training. The slopes are gentle, and most of route is on well marked trails; some wider than others, but all without any dangers or exposed parts.
Some parts of the trails can get moist, muddy and soft after a rain, so if there has been bad weather recently, it might be better to bring hiking boots. I did the trail with light trail running shoes, and it was perfectly fine though.
There are some pretty views of the forest around Ristijärvi. And if you want to bring food with you, two barbecue areas to stop at.
On the way back to the town, we stop at a small art installation, and the oldest year-round operating church in the region.
