Itinerary description
Started from the village of La Molineta hiked down to the picturesque barranco of Rio Higuerón. Care! There can be water flowing in the Rio so possibility of getting wet feet?
From the barranco follow the river northwards towards the reservoir and follow the acequia until you reach the GR 242. Here climb up and out of the barranco.
Hike along the ridge, which has some fabulous views of the Higuerón valley and Frigiliana. Hike up to the Cruz Del Pinto viewpoint, then return back along the barranco and up to the village.
There are a couple of challenging climbs on the walk, especially at the end where it’s an uphill slog!
