Itinerary description
Very nice loop. Starts with a popular section of the Rio en Medio trail but after 2 miles, this loop leaves that trail. We didn’t see any other hikers once we forked off. Down at the Rio Nambe, there’s some scrambling over fallen trees and there’s some river crossings, but things never become hard. There’s quite some uphill on this trail but it’s all really do-able and enjoyable. We did it in Winter, with some snow in some sections. in That made it a bit harder, especially climbing up up the Borrego Trail
