Itinerary description
Climb gently onto the plateau for a view at the Tenadas de Valcarcel then another view at Tenadas del Campo. Take lunch on the top of the ridge facing the spectacular mountain of San Carlos then descend to Silos. You will be able to see Sad Hill Cemetery from the film "the Good the Bad and the Ugly".

I will be walking from Santo Domingo to the Monastery of San Pedro de Arlanza, and your tracks will take me almost all the way there!
I’m wondering about this ridge walk and whether you found the track well-trodden or not. I don’t think this is on any GR route, and I know it’s not on a camino, so I am just wondering how your found it. I know it was 5 years ago and a lot could have changed by then! Thanks
The trail was on an organised group walk by the company Exodus and it was fine. I remember a section through trees that was not very clear but my track should guide you if you have gps. I’m not sure if this section had a short steep scree slope at one point but it wasn’t very long.
