Itinerary description
We parked our car close to the church of this village and followed a track through the plains of Los Arrayos. When coming upon a dirt road very close to the Rm 332 we followed a track through the plains of Los Navarros Bajos. When this track starts to climb from 250 to 300 metres you will see the top of the Morro del Fraile to the right and when the track starts to veer into a south eastern direction and climbs to a height of 350 metres you are walking around the Cabezo de Masajarte, a peak of 462 metres.
This is a beautiful valley with some imposingly situated houses with some lovely views. When you get to a height of 400 metres the broad track peters out but you can easily make your way across a narrow path to the next track that starts right behind a newly built, beautifully sityated house providing splendid views towards the coast in the direction of Cabo Cope.
This is the highest point of the walk and also gives a beautiful view on the Penas Blancas. After this the track goes down, sometimes very steeply, until you reach the well known track La Rambla Del Canar which you will pick up at a height of 220 metres. From now on the broad track goes gently up until it reaches the road that starts shortly before El Canar. This road will take you back to the parking place.
