Itinerary description
Loop trail from Malga San Giorgio passing through:
- Rifugio Pertica
- Cima Tibet
- Cima Madonnina
- Cima Carega
- Passo Malera
Lovely hike starting in San Giorgio, and following the ridge from Cima Tibet to Rif. Fraccaroli.
Amazing views all the way. Do not go if you suffer of vertigos.
Please not that the path SAT 108 from the military road up to Cima Tibet is steep, exposed and rather tough the last 30 min to the top. From here to Cima Madonnina and the Costa Media is also a ridge trail, steep up and down and exposed.
We didn't climb Cima Carega because of the clouds and the fog, but took the path CAI 108B that takes you steep but quickly down to the military road. With good weather it's nice to take the military road starting from the rifugio.
I recommend to do the trail in this direction, if not the way down from Cima Tibet is very difficult, due to stones, rocks and pebbles .
Also remember that you have ca D+ 200 mt to climb from Rifugio Revolto (1530 mt ) to Passo Malera (1771 mt) the last 20 min from Bella Lasta is tough!
Lovely hike and so recommended!
