Rifugio Lagzuoi -- Cortina

This hike starts from Rifugio Lagzuoi ( 33 T 270545 5157033 WGS 84 ) ( 9022 FT, 2750 m ). From the riugio, take route 401 for about .90 miles ( 1448 m ) where it insects with route 402. Where it intersects take route 401/402 for about .54 miles ( .... ) where both route 401 and route 402 splits.This route offers some views of caves that were made during the First World War. Make a right onto route 402 and it will merge with route 404. Continue on this path, which offer views of bunkers and more caves that were made during World War I. Continue on route 402 to route 412.
Once on route 412 make a left and continue on. On route 412, sightings of Chamois and Marmots were observed so be on the look out. Also, there are interested rock formation on this route
Continue on the route 412 for 1.59 miles ( 2559 m ) where intersects with route 403. Continue straight on route 403 to Rifugio Angelo Dobina ( 2037 m , 6683 ft ). From the rifugio, take route 420 to Rifugio Pomedes ( 2303 m, 7556 ft ); this portion of the hike is very steep.
From Rifugio Pomedes, take a dirt road down to another rifugio ( Rifugio Duca D'Acosta ( 2098m , 6883 ft) ). From Rifugio Duca , take route 410 where in a few yards will intersect with route 405. Take route 405, which will hug the cliffs till it come to a meadow in about .79 miles ( 1271 m ). Next take route 407 which will go through a nice pine forest.Once out, make a left onto a road. With the chairlift on your right, make left onto a road that goes to a cable car. The road splits again, but take the right which will bring you to the cable car. Take the cable car down to Cortina.
