Got the train to Horton in Ribblesdale, arriving about 7.15am. On top on Pen-y-Ghent by 9 in thick cloud. Cloud lifted by 10 and took the (?new - don't remember it) excellent path via High Birkwith, arriving at the Station Inn at Ribblehead for lunch at 12.30. Then under the viaduct and up the steep way to Whernside, over to Ingleborough and back down to Horton station and the train back north.
