This park, one of the 35 that form the network of national parks of Finland. It is located in the southeast of the country, about 200 km northeast of Helsinki. You can access it by private car or public transport from the city of Kouvola, from where you can take a bus to go until you reach 4 km from the park entrance. It has an area of about 15 km², to which are added another 14 km² of protected forest adjacent to the park and joined to it without solution of continuity, forming, between both areas, an area of almost 30 km² of virgin forests and lakes intact by which the hiker can move with complete freedom.
