Category: quite heavy.
Route: short, but powerful journey.
In spite of the (extreme) gradients it is nevertheless easy to work.
Slippery and dangerous in wet weather.
Unmarked, but clearly visible path.
Impressive views.
Duration: 1.5 hours / 1 hour back.
The guarantee that you will be rewarded with one of the most beautiful views of the mountain world of the Lofoten on top of the Reinebringen summit (448 meters) is the motive of your climb. The tour starts at the Reinehalsen car park at the junction of the E10 at Reine. From the parking you walk a short distance along the E10 in the direction of Å. You follow the narrow old coastal road to the left of the tunnel and after about 500 meters you will find the starting point of the narrow path upwards. Many words do not require the ascent: after a short chain passage over a bare rock, the path leads steeply upwards like a Jacob's Ladder. A true calf biter, but with the necessary breaks everyone will end up on the top with some stamina. On top of the comb you breathe, not only because you ask for it, but also because of the unique panorama. Your gaze immediately drops down 420 meters in the Reinefjord and the entire mountain range from north to south is indelibly imprinted in your memory. The actual summit (448 meters) is a few steps further to the left and offers an even wider view of the side arms of the Reinefjord. Those who want to go back down despite beauty, choose the same route: steep down. Supreme concentration is required, almost and quickly from the evil one!
Possible extension to the Reinebringen (666m).
However, if you can not get enough of the environment, there is still a second peak within reach. To the left of the top you are now on, a path leads over the narrow mountain ridge to 666 meters. The path becomes narrower until you have to go on a bar of barely 1 meter wide, with a yawning abyss on both sides. Nerve stimuli can hardly be controlled. Walk on cautiously, you get higher and higher and you finally reach a meadow plateau full of flowers from where you have a very nice view of the Reinevatnet, the Djupfjord and the attractive Hermannsdalstinden (1029 meters).
A note in the margins: unfortunately untrained tourists with unadapted footwear also venture on this trip to make a photo of the phenomenal view on top of the summit. Because of the great attraction of the Reinebringen often too many people climb the mountain at the same time, which can lead to dangerous situations, especially if you notice that the path is worn out. Sometimes a sign warns that it is forbidden to climb the mountain, then we strongly recommend to follow this good advice.

Ruta corta, vertical e intensa.
100% recomendable.
